Parkinson: Tabla workshop with Pt Abhijit Banerjee

Ashu Babu Memorial Tabla School is proud to present a tabla workshop by renowned Pt Abhijit Banerjee (bio below).  All tabla students and players around Brisbane should not miss this opportunity to learn from a genuine tabla master and experienced teacher. 

Three sessions will be available: Beginners (young students wishing to get the blessing of this great maestro along with basic exercises and lots of inspiration to practice); Intermediate (students with basic knowledge of common tabla compositions); Advanced (tabla players and advanced students).10-1030am Beginners (including kids students up to 10 years old) - $20
1030-1130am Intermediate (including kids 10-15 years) - $30
1130am-1pm Advanced (senior students and other tabla players) - $50

ARTIST BIO:
Considered among the top class of players from India, Abhijit Banerjee is one of the most sought after creative artists in the realm of Indian classical music. Having crafted a unique style and creative approach, which has brought him accolades and awards throughout the world, Abhijit is known for his musical sensitivity, skill and depth. 
 
Recognising his talent and natural inclination towards music, his father steered him to the tabla at the age of four. Abhijit also studied vocal music and violin later in his life, bringing out the complete musician in him. Apart from his contributions to Indian music, Abhijit has delved into a diverse variety of world music crossover as both a performer and composer. He is considered as one of the main disciples of the illustrious guru, the late Pt. Gyan Prakash Ghosh.
